MESSAGE FROM
SENIOR PASTOR/CEO
I have been privilege to serve as the Senior Pastor/CEO of Word of Life Ministries Inc. for the 25 years. As I reflect on that experience, I am most appreciative of the staff, members and partners who have provided their support and dedication in making WOLM a great ministry. I have learned that the dedication and integrity of the team of staff and members provides the strongest and most important asset, which will drive this ministry successfully into the next century.
I believe that I learned most during this time from the candid conversations, e-mails and correspondence from our members and partners who truly care about WOLM. During these trying years, I was honored as many of you joined me in fellowship, travel, supported and even the struggles, which are associated with a growing ministry.
When the Lord directed me to get into position, I obeyed his voice and today Word of Life Ministries is truly in position for reaping the end time harvest. Our 25 different ministries have been effective along with our newly established Word of Life Community Development Corporation (WOLCDC). Our ministerial staff have been effective in leadership, our growth have been slow but positive, and more than all the Lord have been blessing us everyday.
There are still more to be done and accomplish and developed within this ministry but we must grow how God wants us to grow. To be perfectly honest with you: there were times when I would look at other ministries growing, developing and became the talk within the religious communities, and I would say to the Lord, “What’s wrong with me or what am I doing wrong”. In the stillness of the moment I would hear his voice saying: “Good shepherding is not necessarily measured by the amount of sheep you shepherd, but by the quality of shepherding you give”. I guess the Lord sure put me in check. I raised my hat to those of you who have stood by this vision even when you didn’t see much. Or when it appeared that no one knew that we existed or when folks thought that we weren’t big enough or recognized for them to associate with. You are the real heroes here. You had the courage and faith to become a part of nothing, and helped to create something out of nothing. Thank you very much for believing in me.
I promise that I will continue to stand in position preaching and teaching the word of life, like never before.I have come this far by faith and I know that trouble don’t last always. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comet in the morning, oh glory, good God from Zion. Remember in all your getting, get understanding. (Proverbs 4:7) Thanks to you all for another great year.
Sincerely, Bishop Steve O. Campbell
